Iceland has ordered extra stock of Greggs favourites to get us through lockdown

Of the many downsides to this current lockdown is the fact that Greggs has shut their stores.

It’s the right decision for the safety of staff and customers, but we’re still allowed to be annoyed that we can’t get our hands on a steak bake.

The saving grace is Iceland, who are not only selling all our Greggs favourites as usual, but have ordered in extra stock to get us through.

The supermarket said in a statement: ‘Iceland is set to receive Greggstra stock of the bakery’s most loved pastries.

‘So Greggs fanatics can still get their lunch time fix from the comfort of their own freezer by heading in store or online.’

Greggs items you can get at Iceland

  • Greggs 2 Sausage & Bean Melts (£1.89, 308g)
  • Greggs 4 Sausage Rolls (£1.89, 427g)

Of course we’ll still need to be getting these as part of our regular shops, and observe social distancing while we’re there, but we can rest assured that Greggs and Iceland have our back in our hour of need.

Shoppers can indulge in a number of classic Greggs pastries such as the iconic Sausage Rolls and Steak Bakes, as well as a wide range of other delicious treats such as the Bacon and Cheese Wraps and Vegetable Bakes.

Sausage roll lovers looking for the perfect working from home afternoon treat, or something to keep their new kid co-workers happy, can pick up 16 Greggs Mini Sausage Rolls, which are exclusive to Iceland and perfect with a little tomato sauce and a brew.

It might be a while until life returns to normal, so at least this way we can keep a bit of normality in the form of a humble Greggs pasty.
