A Place In The Sun star Laura Hamilton regularly helps connect property buyers with their dream pads abroad – but her posts from exotic locations recently have left one fan riled up.
“I did get a really weird message from someone the other week, actually, saying: ‘Can’t follow you anymore, I’m bored of seeing you on holiday,'” the puzzled presenter exclaimed.
“I’m like, ‘But I travel for my job! What am I supposed to do?'”
The 41-year-old star, who was offering travel inspiration on a new episode of the Two Women Chatting podcast, is heading to Costa Rica the moment she gets some freedom from her busy filming schedule.
Revealing that she has family members who have a “serious obsession” with lizards, the excited star let slip that she’ll be “planning an adventure with the children” next Easter.

Her podcast hosts then filled her in on the bizarre option of drinking “mongoose poop coffee” there, which is created by “using the digestive processes of the mongoose to make it really intense in flavour”.
Though Laura’s known for her love of dramatic destinations, it isn’t just travelling that she’s been trolled for.
A couple of years ago on Netmums’ Sweat Snot and Tears podcast, Laura revealed that she’d had such an intense panic attack brought on negative social media comments against her that she felt the urge to call 999.
An ambulance rushed to her property at the time, after she complained of feeling unable to breathe.

The star had ventured on to a local neighbourhood app designed at connecting with and helping other members of the community, and she was shocked when she discovered some of the comments being made about her.
“I couldn’t believe the amount of stuff that was being said about me, my family and my children. My husband said to just ignore it, but I couldn’t,” she explained.
“I understand that when you’re on TV and when you are in the public eye, you’re never going to appeal to everyone.
“I accept the fact there will be negativity, there will always be criticism… but when it comes to what happened [on the app] in lockdown, it was different,” she concluded.
Meanwhile, in spite of the negativity, Laura has been feeling better than ever recently after overhauling her fitness routine and moving into her dream home.
She split from ex-husband Alex Goward in 2021, and they now co-parent their two young children, son Rocco and daughter Tahlia.
The star has since shared her ambitions of learning how to fly, so that she can pilot her own plane to the work locations she visits, and she’s overseen an incredible home renovation.
Perhaps most poignant of all for Laura was the ability to finally afford her dream car – a Land Rover Defender 90 – leading the presenter to admit that she was still “pinching herself”.
“I have worked unbelievably hard over the last few years to rebuild my life to make my children, friends and family proud,” she explained on Instagram.
