Adele Roberts tests positive for Covid as she celebrates girlfriend Kate’s birthday

Adele Roberts has revealed that she has tested positive for Covid-19.

The I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here star, who "almost lost the use of her bottom' due to "tricky" tumour position, revealed her health news as she celebrated her girlfriend Kate Holderness's birthday.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the 42 year old wrote: "Today is my favourite day. It's the day my love was born. Happy birthday @kateholderness, And happy anniversary! 18 years together."

Radio DJ Adele continued: "Thank you for putting up with me for longer than legally necessary. I love you with all my heart… I love you so much that I'd catch COVID for you. Which I have. I can't believe you're the one that got me my little Trojan horse."

"I think this means you now have to make me my favourite tea. Turkey drummers, waffles and beans please. Get in Morrisons love! Haha," she said.

Adele added: "Ps. If anyone's interested in someone who's got a stoma, on chemo and has COVID I'll be sharing my symptoms (and possible slow death) on my insta story.

"I think Kate might have pulled off the perfect murder here."

Taking to her Instagram Story, Adele revealed that her Covid symptoms so far are loss and change to her sense of smell and taste, shortness of breath and a sore throat.

This comes after Adele revealed that NHS doctors saved the use of her bottom after removing a tumour that was in a "tricky place".

Adele revealed in October 2021 that she had been diagnosed with bowel cancer and recently appeared on Good Morning Britain for her first live TV interview since the news.

Speaking to hosts Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard, Adele said: "I just noticed that when I was going to the toilet, things started to change. Then I started to notice a bit of blood, and it started to get a bit more regular.

"I thought, 'Should I ring the doctors or should I not?' because Covid was happening and I didn't want to bother the GP. In the end it got so consistent that I thought I better ring up just in case."

When asked how she took the diagnosis, the star explained that she was shocked and still doesn't feel like she's "taken it on".

Adele was told that doctors managed to remove the tumour, "which was incredible, the NHS has been awesome".
