‘It’s really hard to go away even the third time’: The One Show’s Alex Jones sobs live on air as she prepares to go on maternity leave
The One Show’s Alex Jones broke down live on air during Friday night’s episode after people came together to say ‘one big thank you’ to her as she goes on maternity leave.
Alex’s co-host Gethin Jones began by reading out a message from a viewer, Pauline, who said that the ‘trials and tribulations’ of the past year have been eased by Alex.
From there, Gethin, 43, then played a video for the expectant mum, 44, featuring her friends, family and fans who wanted to wish her goodbye and good luck.
