Alexandra Burke has marked the four year anniversary of her beloved mother's death with a touching tattoo tribute.
The 33 year old, who recently celebrated her birthday with "her love" Darren Randolph, took to her Instagram feed to post a snap of her wrist, where the inking says: "love, mum x".
Using fine lines, the tattoo artist mimicked Alexandra's mum Melissa Bell's actual handwriting from a birthday card she had given to her daughter.
In the caption, The X Factor winner told her 229,000 followers: "4 years today.. It doesn’t get any easier. I love you mummy… you are always with me. But now I can look down and see your handwriting on my wrist forever…
"I hope and pray that I’m doing you proud. Everything I do is still for you…. X".
Celebrity friends were quick to comment as Fleur East wrote: "definitely making her proud everyday xx," with a red heart emoji.
Judi Love posted a red heart emoji and a praying hands emoji, while athlete Kelly Holmes said: "Sending Much love I know exactly how this feels. xxx," with a pink heart emoji.
Alexandra's mum passed away in 2017 at the age of 53 and was the former lead singer of the Grammy Award winning R&B band Soul II Soul.
Sharing the heartbreaking news on her Instagram at the time, Alexandra explained: "It is with the heaviest and saddest of hearts that the family inform you our beautiful, funny and loving mum, Melissa Bell has passed away.
"Our beautiful mother gained her wings on Monday 28th August, a day that has changed out lives forever.
"We will never forget her unconditional love, support, charisma, strength and courage throughout her life."
She added: "We are eternally proud and thankful to call her our mummy. We would be grateful if you could respect our privacy at this difficult time. Thank you. The Burke Family."

A year after her tragic death, Alexandra appeared on ITV's Loose Women to perform a song dedicated to her late mum, from her 2018 album The Truth Is.
Following the performance, Alexandra couldn't help but break down into tears as she spoke about Melissa.
"I don't want her spirit to go away, so I always try my best to do what I can to talk about her," she told the panellists. "I wrote that song for mummy before she passed away, so she heard it at least. I'm so sorry."
She continued: "She made so many sacrifices for all of us, all the kids, made sure food was always on the table, clothes on our backs and she never stopped working.

"So I always say to myself, if she never stopped fighting – even for her life in hospital, never gave up for a long time.
"She had kidney disease, diabetes for 31 years which is unheard of, kidney failure for nine years.
"She made so many sacrifices for all of us, all the kids, made sure food was always on table, clothes on our backs and she never stopped working."
"She was so positive, so strong and gave everything to life and the family. If she can, I have no excuse to stop," Alexandra added.
