The Kardashians are unlike most American families in that they have millions of dollars and an incredible amount of fame. But just like the rest of us, they need to eat. The family likes to shop at regular food stores, such as Trader Joe’s, but when it comes to what they feed their kids, some meals are completely out of the ordinary.
Kim Kardashian once fed her children hot dog sushi
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are the parents to four young children, and sometimes, meals need to get creative. However, Kardashian has been criticized for her parenting a few times — one of those times being that one night when she fed her children hot dog sushi. Kardashian posted about the meal on her Instagram story, and fans were nothing but confused. It wasn’t one of those meals that’s a play on sushi, it was truly hot dog sushi. As in, hot dogs wrapped in rice and seaweed. “When your kids LOVE sushi & hotdogs you get creative,” Kardashian wrote on her story. She included a photo of the dish, but we’re not sure exactly how hot dogs and seaweed taste together.
Fans were quick to question Kardashian’s dinner choice. “Imagine being worth 200 million dollars and feeding your kids hot dog sushi,” one Twitter user wrote. Another Twitter user referred to it as “the greatest tragedy” of the year. However, others praised the mother of four, saying she is a “mom genius” and adding that anyone who is grossed out by it must not have young children of their own.
Kourtney Kardashian once cut dairy and gluten entirely from her kids’ diets
There are plenty of reasons why some people might not be able to eat dairy or gluten. The two most common are Celiac disease, where the body doesn’t process gluten, and a dairy allergy. However, Kourtney Kardashian’s kids had neither of these when she decided to cut both entirely from her family’s diet. She started feeding the children gluten-free alternatives, such as gluten-free waffles and tortillas. But the downside to gluten-free foods is that they’re often packed with sodium and sugar to make up for the flavor that was lost with the lack of gluten. Fans questioned why Kardashian would eliminate both things from the kids’ diets, but she eventually brought them back. She revealed that the family now enjoys everything in moderation.
Kylie Jenner’s daughter loves soy sauce
Though Stormi Webster, the daughter of Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott (whose real last name is Webster), might only be a baby, she’s already found a love for soy sauce. And while soy sauce isn’t exactly a “bizarre” food, it is a bit bizarre for someone so young to have an attachment to such a specific food. Jenner said that she often takes her daughter to Nobu and lets her chow down on soy sauce rice and edamame. “I don’t feed her anything raw,” Jenner clarified, though she said her daughter loves sushi. As the Kardashian kids get older, they’ll learn even more what they like and dislike, but Kim Kardashian’s hot dog sushi probably takes the cake for most bizarre meal.
