Anonymous massage therapist who accused Kevin Spacey of sexual assault dies

An anonymous massage therapist who claimed he was sexually assaulted by Kevin Spacey has died.

The unidentified person, who was referred as John Doe, made claims he was made to touch the House Of Cards actor's genitals twice during a massage.

It was alleged the massage took place at a private Malibu residence three years ago.

The death of the unidentified individual was made known by a notice filed in court by attorneys.

“While there is no court deadline for filing a party’s death notice, filing triggers a 90-day countdown. That means that unless the estate is substituted in the party’s place, the court may dismiss the case,” said attorney Genie Harrison.

“Mr. Doe’s family must now open his estate at the same time as planning a funeral and processing their grief.”

The therapist's estate could choose to pursue the lawsuit against Spacey, according to reports.

John Doe filed the allegations against the Hollywood star in September 2018.

It was also alleged Spacey asked if he could perform a sex act on the massager which sparked him to escape.

A judge in California saw the case to proceed even though Spacey objected to the claimant being able to remain anonymous throughout the battle, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The massage therapist's death comes after there was expected to be a trial that could last up to 11 days as the suit planned to continue.

Spacey is under investigation for six sexual assaults in London after three more men came forward with allegations.
