Ant McPartlin is ‘set to return to I’m A Celebrity’ a year after drink-drive shame…’ as ITV bosses splurge on promo trailer’
Ant McPartlin is said to be returning to TV screen for this year’s I’m A Celebrity.
ITV bosses have reportedly splashed the cash for a promo film called Two Men and a Boat to help build anticipation for the presenter’s grand return.
The trailer, was filmed at a West London studio, and follows Ant, 43, and Declan Donnolly, setting sail for Australia with the pair battling the ailments on their boat, according to The Sun.

Ant was replaced by Holly Willoughby in last year’s series after he took a step back from filming commitments in the wake of his drink-driving conviction and addiction to alcohol and prescription drugs.
A source told the publication of Ant’s return: ‘The storyline for the promo is really funny, it’s a big and very expensive set-up with masses of special effects, but they wanted it to be right — especially for Ant’s return.
‘Holly was a fantastic stand-in and Dec enjoyed having her with him in Australia very much, but she always said it was a one-off.

‘Ant is a huge part of the success of the series so everyone on the team was looking forward to working with him again
The insider added the trailer will air later this year, in the run up to the start of the show.
MailOnline has contacted Ant and I’m A Celebrity’s representatives for comment.
Last year, the star took a lengthy hiatus from screens to battle his addiction woes.
Ant previously credited girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett for ‘saving his life’, after battling addiction, a drink-drive conviction and divorce.

Ant and Dec are set to celebrate 30 years of working together this year after first appearing on TV screens in teen drama Byker Grove and their BAFTA nods are a clear welcome – particularly for Ant following his recent woes.
The presenter made a return to television screens earlier in May for the new Britain’s Got Talent as he makes a comeback to the showbiz circuit following a tough year.
He was arrested for drink-driving in March last year and his presenting partner Dec hosted the live Britain’s Got Talent shows solo.
Ant’s ex wife Lisa was granted a divorce him during a 30-second hearing at the Central Family Court in October last year.
The I’m a Celeb host and his teenage sweetheart had been together for 23 years; they were married in 2006 but announced their split in January last year.
The former flames first met in Newcastle in 1994 before they went onto exchange vows at a stunning country house in Buckinghamshire in 2006.
