Attn @ those of you confused by how, exactly, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez ended up reunited and vacationing in Montana together a full 17 years after their breakup. Apparently, Ben was out here writing her love letters (fine, love emails) while she was filming Shotgun Wedding in the Dominican Republic.
TMZ reports that Bennifer’s relationship has “been building since February” when Ben “started flooding her with emails.” And the outlet notes that, “the tone of the emails wasn’t just friendly…but more loving and longing for Jen.”
Sources who spoke to TMZ claim that Ben told Jennifer how beautiful she looked after seeing photos of her in the Dominican Republic, and said he wished he could be there.
This news comes amid a report from E! News, who say “A-Rod is shocked that J.Lo has moved on,” and that “he truly thought they would be able to make it work and reconnect. He has been reaching out to J.Lo trying to meet with her and she has been very short with him.” Apparently, A-Rod is also “saddened” about about J.Lo’s reunion with Ben, and reached out to let her know “he’s upset.”
As a reminder, neither Ben nor J.Lo have confirmed that they’re dating, which means they could fully just be friends who like to email each other and take the occasional Montana vacation together! Maybe!
