When addressing the wild speculation about the ‘Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)’ hitmaker’s alleged mental health issue, Tina Knowles explains that ‘human touch is how you stay connected.’
AceShowbiz -Tina Knowles has something important to say after photos of Jay-Z touching Beyonce Knowles‘ leg circulated online. After some fans considered that the leg rub was to help ease the “Crazy in Love” singer’s social anxiety, the mother of the R&B diva started to beg people to “stop” making such false narratives.
“When you love someone and like them you just want to touch them ! Me and [Richard Lawson] are always touching even if it’s just our feet ! Yeah!! That’s what you do ! [love],” the 67-year-old wrote in an Instagram post on Sunday, June 6. Alongside a photo collage of Jay-Z holding Beyonce’s leg, she continued her note, “So comical people saying she has anxiety in public and that’s why he touches her ! Lord people !!!! Yal can turn something good and healthy into something That it’s not !!! Stop that!!!!! [love].”
Tina further explained about the “Empire State Of Mind” rapper’s leg rubbing, “For those of you who don’t understand , Try it sometimes it works !! Human Touch is how you stay connected!! [love].” She went on to stress that the touch might help calm someone who suffers anxiety as well, saying, “BTW if someone has anxiety then it is great for their partner to touch them to calm and reassure them. That’s a beautiful thing .” She then concluded her post, “It just happens to be not the case here [love].”
Tina’s statement came just a day after the Hollywood power couple was photographed getting cozy during a basketball date in New York. During the game, the rapper was caught several times touching and rubbing his wife’s leg, which has since been coined by some fans as the “Jayonce leg rub.”
Jay-Z and Beyonce, who married in 2008, share three kids, 9-year-old daughter Blue Ivy as well as 3-year-old twins Sir and Rumi. A little over a week ago, the New York native himself explained his relationship with daughter Blue as he spilled during his interview with LeBron James in “The Shop: Uninterrupted” that he only learned to swim after his eldest child was born.
