Charlotte Crosby shuts down lip filler rumours as pregnancy made them ‘blow up’

Charlotte Crosby has dismissed rumours she's had additional lip filler and instead stated that her "out of control" lips are a result of her pregnancy.

The Geordie Shore star, 32, took to Instagram on Monday (18 July) to address a number of messages she had been receiving, as fans have asked her if she's been having filler injections in recent months.

Sharing an image of her "inflated" lips, the reality star explained she has never wanted to get her lips dissolved but during her pregnancy her lips have grown due to "water retention".

The 32 year old said: "So my lips are big I know that I mean it doesn't take a genius to figure that one out.

"I've never ever minded them or wanted to get them dissolved because I quite like big lips they match my big heart."

Charlotte said she doesn't even have a lot of lip filler, stating that the clinician she uses would vouch for her claim.

She continued: "But through pregnancy they have BLOWN UP! Through water retention! And some silly people in the DMs even asked if I'd been getting them done.

"ABSOLUTELY NOT. Your just have to take one look at my forehead to know I havnt been near an injectable in 2022. The creases are real.

"But back on the lips because they are so inflated during my pregnancy I am like hmmmmm is this gunna go because even I feel they are swelling out of control now!"

Charlotte shared a poll with her 8 million followers and asked them if they'd experienced similar symptoms, with 68 per cent claiming they had.

In fact, the side effect isn't actually very common but it can happen with women’s health expert Dr. Sherry A. Ross explaining that "swelling is a normal part of pregnancy".

Dr Ross told Parents: "There is definitely some truth to as your belly grows so can your lips. Swelling is a normal part of pregnancy and it happens in just about every part of your body including your lips."

Even those mums who do experience swollen lips can expect the symptoms to only last for three to six months with no lasting results.

Dr Ross said: "Once you give birth, your body will deflate over three to six months, as will your lips."
