Chloe Madeley ‘loves’ her pregnancy body but third trimester is ‘hardest psychologically’

Fitness enthusiast Chloe Madeley is pregnant with her first child with her husband James Haskell, and she has admitted she loves her "pregnancy body" – but she's "excited to get back into shape" after her baby is born.

"Are you excited to get back into shape post baby?" a fan asked the daughter of Good Morning Britain star Richard Madeley, 66, and Judy Finnigan, 74, during an Instagram Q+A.

"Extremely," she wrote, before setting the record straight to her followers. "To be clear: This is NOT because I dislike my pregnancy body, I love my pregnancy body!"

Chloe, 35, who is expecting a girl with rugby star James, 37, continued: "It's because I work in the body, I LOVE a physique goal, I LOVE a performance goal, and I LOVE my job.

"I do what I do out of LOVE for my body and my job, NOT hatred of my body. So please don't perceive that as insecurity, it's not, it's passion, excitement and joy."

In the same Q&A, Chloe – who "collapsed" on public transport as she prepares to give birth – opened up on how her third trimester has been the hardest "psychologically".

One of her followers asked: "How do you deal with pregnancy anxiety?" to which Chloe shared: "I was lucky in that it didn't hit until my third trimester, which has undoubtedly been the hardest for me psychologically speaking."

The mum to be explained: "It helps to have people to talk to and to be around people as much as possible.

"Being alone is absolutely fuel for the fire. Remember it's extremely common in pregnancy and it will pass x."

It isn't the first time Chloe has been open about looking forward to getting her pre-baby body back after her child is born.

Chloe spoke of her excitement by sharing a fully naked picture of her pregnancy body, before admitting she was previously scared to post it.

She said she had been asked whether she is excited to get back in shape post pregnancy, and Chloe revealed she nearly "skipped over" the question over the fear of her answer being "misconstrued and misjudged".

"The answer is yes," she added as she spoke to her fans. "I am extremely excited to rehab my body postnatally; my core, my pelvic floor, my glutes, everything that has had to shift, make way and change for my little potato will need to be rehabbed and nursed back to health. I am excited to PATIENTLY watch my physique change again, too."

Chloe went on to say: "Today, this love is CONSTANTLY and CONSISTENTLY deemed as hatred for your female form. Deemed as insecurity born of the patriarchy and or the media.

"It is SO frowned upon for women to have body goals.

"Why? If your body goal is to stay the same, to become healthier, to become fitter, to become stronger, or to grow and develop a physique, why is one any more valid than the other?"
