Sources say the ‘Dog’s Most Wanted’ star suffered a possible heart attack as doctors are performing tests to figure out whether he needs a surgery or not.
AceShowbiz -Dog the Bounty Hunter’s representative has spoken up after reports emerged that the reality TV star has been hospitalized. Confirming that the bounty hunter, whose real name is Duane Chapman, is suffering a health issue, the rep assures everyone that he has received the medical attention he needs.
“I can confirm Dog is under doctor’s care and is resting comfortably,” the rep says in a statement to several news outlets. The rep goes on thanking fans “for all of your well wishes” and asking to “keep ’em coming.”
TMZ earlier reported that Dog was taken to a hospital in Colorado this weekend after feeling a pain in his chest. Sources say doctors are performing tests to know the precise nature of the problem and determine whether or not he needs a corrective surgery.
In an updated report, the site claims that the 66-year-old widower suffered a possible heart attack.
Dog’s medical emergency comes two months after his wife Beth Chapman died of cancer on June 26. Back in August, he said that his wife’s tragic death made him no longer afraid of death. “I told my camera crew after she [passed], ‘If something happens to me, you’d better get that shot.’ They’re like, ‘Boss, we will.’ I’m not afraid to die now, because I know where I’m going and who I’ll get to see again,” he told TV Insider.
The “Dog’s Most Wanted” star added, “I’m not afraid to die anymore,” explaining that it would only bring him back to his wife. He went on saying that now whenever he’s about to knock down a door during a bust, he said to himself, “Here I come, Bethy,” before imagining her in a Heavenly garden saying, “Big Daddy, it took you a long time.”
He also vowed to never remarry, though he didn’t rule out dating again. “What deal we said is I will never take ‘Beth’ off my chest, I have her name here. And I will never get married,” Dog said last month. “And she said to me, ‘We are human, okay?’ And probably the same thing I’d say to her: ‘I know you’re gonna have a boyfriend, I hope you have 10, but don’t go fricking marry one, and say those words. Don’t you dare do that.’ I would say that, and she did say that to me.”
