They finished each other’s sandwiches in Frozen, but now, fans are wondering if Kristen Bell and Josh Gad would work on another film, musical, or television series together. What’s next for Kristen Bell and Josh Gad? The two shared a Broadway musical project they would totally collaborate on in the future.
Josh Gad and Kristen Bell starred alongside Jonathan Groff and Idina Menzel in ‘Frozen’
One voices a lovable snowman who likes warm hugs, the other voices the soon-to-be queen of Arandelle. Most Disney fans know Josh Gad and Kristen Bell to be on-screen best friends, Olaf and Anna, from Disney’s Frozen and Frozen 2.
These actors, however, worked together on a number of musical productions and even a new television series. Most recently, they voiced animated characters for an Apple TV+ New York-inspired special, titled Central Park.
The two later teamed up for ‘Central Park’
After working on the animated film, Frozen, Josh Gad and Kristen Bell worked together on another animated project, this one for Apple TV+. Central Park tells the story of the iconic New York City destination from the perspective of characters living near it. There’s also a few songs throughout the series.
“Well, your brain is proven to connect to things when you’re hearing music. You’re more emotionally available, you’re ready to go on a ride. That’s proven,” Kristen Bell said during an interview with Forbes.
“There’s a lot of tricks that you can do in animation [that] you can’t do on stage,” she continued. “I’m all over that studio when I’m singing. But I can’t get away with that if I were to do that on stage.”
With over 20 years of knowing each other and working together, it only makes sense that these two would be close friends. The two opened up about some of their favorite things for a video with Buzzfeed even sharing their favorite Broadway musicals.
Kristen Bell shared her love for the musical ‘A Little Night Music’ with Josh Gad
For one Buzzfeed video, these two performers teamed up to discuss their favorite Broadway shows. Although she loves Hamilton “with every bone in her body” and the creator behind it, Lin Manuel-Miranda, there’s one musical that Kristen Bell loves the most. Even Josh Gad said he wanted to be in it with her.
“My favorite show is way more obscure and it’s Stephen Sondheim’s A Little Night Music,” Kristen Bell shared. Almost instantly, Josh Gad gasped, sharing his love for the production. (His favorite musical, though, is Fiddler On the Roof.)
Fans can hear Kristen Bell voice Anna in Disney’s animated movies, Frozen and Frozen 2. These movies, as well as other Disney princess favorites, are available on Disney’s streaming platform. To learn more about Disney+ and to subscribe, visit their website.
