Heartbeat's Nick Berry looked completely different seven years after he quit his acting career.
At a glance, you would be forgiven for not recognising the English actor, 56, as he broke his cover.
Back in his hey day, the hunk was cemented as one of TV's hottest heartthrobs for a decade during his flourishing acting career.
Fans will remember him for his role as Simon Wicks for five years in EastEnders from 1985 until 1990 and his six-year stint on Heartbeat as dishy PC Nick Rowan from 1992 until 1998.
The silver fox was out for the day in his red Land Rover.
Stay-at-home dad Nick was accompanied by his fluffy toy poodle which bounced along faithfully by his side.
The former soap star was embracing the chillier temperatures thawing the UK as he dressed in a green jacket, woolly scarf and jeans.
Nick quit his high-flying TV career to be a stay-at-home dad to his sons Louis and Finley.
The actor married the love of his life and actress Rachel Robertson in 1994.
They went onto build a life together and raise their two sons at their home in Epping, Essex.
The dad-of-two never ruled out a return to television once his sons had grown up into teenagers but he did admit he was "happy" and settled into his new life.
Nick confessed while he loved acting, he realised it robbed him of precious time with his young sons.
It was his desire to spend more time with his family which eventually saw the actor leave behind his enviable TV career.
In 2011, he told The Daily Mail : "I chose to be a stay-at-home dad and have loved it. I always said that when the boys were teenagers I could go back, but the longer you don't do something the harder it is to do it, and I haven't really missed it. While I'd never say never, I'm genuinely happy as I am.
"[Being an actor] The job was great. You're driven everywhere, fed every five minutes and told what to do and where to go. What I struggled with was that the boys were very young and I felt like I was away filming all the time.
"I'd been blessed with these little people and yet I wasn't really there. I realised I wanted to be at home."
