Former Homes Under The Hammer star Lucy Alexander, 50, took to Twitter to share a selfie with her dad in the seaside town of Whitstable, as they enjoyed a day out together last weekend.
The presenter could be seen standing alongside her father as they smiled for the camera.
In view of her 36,000 followers, she captioned the picture: “Dad time. Always the best.”
Many of the star’s fans flocked to her post to comment, with one querying why the pair were not keeping a two-metre distance, in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Twitter user wrote: “Not trying to be a killjoy but I went to see my parents today but didn’t hug them as aren’t we still supposed to be social distancing!?”
Lucy replied: “Not if you’re in a ‘bubble’.”
The property expert was referring to the Government’s latest lockdown guidelines, in which single adults living alone – or single parents whose children are under 18 – are now allowed to form a “support bubble” with one other household.
The new lockdown allowance does not apply to those who are shielding.
Lucy’s dad has been self-isolating alone at home following the death of Lucy’s mum in February.
She had previously admitted she had a “little weep” during a phone call with her dad ahead of her visit.
Lucy revealed: “I’ve just had a little chat with my dad who’s isolating alone.
“It’s hard for everyone who’s separated from family at this time.
“I know it’s the right thing for his own safety but I still have a little weep when we talk about mum and her passing and what we are most looking forward to when this is all over.”
The presenter lives with her husband Stewart Castledine and their two children; Kitty and Leo.
Last month, she queried whether she was okay to visit her dad after the pair experienced coronavirus symptoms.
Lucy told fans she found out her dad had coronavirus after suffering from potential symptoms herself.
She later took to Twitter to ask if they could now mix since they had both recovered.
“So found out today my dad who lives alone has indeed had coronavirus (he’s recovered and well now) his result just came back,” she tweeted.
“I’ve had it AND so have my family. Can we now mix & visit him as we’ve all had the virus?”
Many of her Twitter followers responded to her post, giving mixed advice.
The World Health Organisation has said those who have recovered from the virus are not immune from catching it again.
