Gemma Atkinson, 36, addressed her partner Gorka Marquez’s absence today as she showed off a brand new hairdo on Instagram. The former Hollyoaks star had dyed her hair a gorgeous “caramel” colour as she admitted being worried about maintaining her usually bright blonde locks while her long-time love was away.
Speaking on her story, Gemma shared: “I told Emily [Monk, her hairdresser] I was worried about my roots coming through bad, obviously with Mia, and Gorka being away its quite hard to get in for top-ups.
“So I’ve gone a little bit darker, still blonde, but caramels and fudges, so a bit more natural and a bit easier for me to maintain.
“So yeah, new hair who this,” she added.
Gemma looked radiant as she wore natural makeup and a plunging lavender colour crop top.
The soap star accessorised with delicate gold jewellery which complimented her freshly coloured locks.
On Gorka’s Instagram page he shared an adorable photo of Gemma holding their daughter Mia, 2, and said he was “missing his girls”.
In response, the 36-year-old admitted she was “missing” him too as he spent time away at an undisclosed location ahead of his stint on Strictly Come Dancing this year.
Fans shared their excitement for the upcoming series of the dance contest, as they hoped this year Gorka would be picking up the Glitterball trophy.
One said: “Good luck Gorka. Hoping you pick up the Glitterball this year.”
A second replied: “So excited to see you on Strictly again this year and so looking forward to everything being back to normal but your girls must miss you so much.”
While a third remarked: “Not easy working away from home.”
Meanwhile, Gemma spent the evening with pals to undoubtedly keep her mind off missing her hunky fiancé.
The radio presenter shared a number of videos on Instagram of her fun-filled evening out, as she looked sensational in a slinky black midi dress paired with black stilettos.
In the caption, she typed: “Mums night out”
The actress met Gorka while competing on Strictly Come Dancing back in 2017 and the pair got engaged on Valentines Day this year.
The couple recently hosted a birthday party for their youngster as she celebrated her second birthday.
Talking on her Instagram Story the 36-year-old posed with pals outside their house before heading into their gorgeous grey kitchen to show off Mia’s fabulous cake.
Gemma could be seen scooping up Mia in her arms above a huge yellow custom-made drip cake as proud dad Gorka held the cake for the pair to blow out the candles, with Aloe Black as a backing track on the Insta reel.
The radio presenter gushed ahead of the party: “2 years of you = 2 years being a better me.
“Thanks for making me your mum Mia. We love you so much and seeing the little lady you’re becoming, it’s now so obvious why you were born on Independence Day #2today @gorka_marquez we’re the luckiest.” (sic)
