Though her estranged husband has ‘so much resentment’ which makes her ‘losing’ her mind, the former ‘One Tree Hill’ star insists that she chooses ‘to be kind.’
AceShowbiz –Jana Kramer has gotten candid about Mike Caussin‘s feelings toward her amid their separation. Addressing her “hard” divorce in a new interview, the former star of “One Tree Hill” called out her estranged husband for “being mean” to her.
During the Tuesday, July 13, episode of her “Whine Down” podcast, the 37-year-old country music star told guest Dorinda Medley about her ongoing divorce from Mike. The “I’ve Got the Boy” singer revealed, “[Mike] has so much resentment and I’m like, ‘Wait a minute, you’re the one who hurt me. How are you being mean to me? This doesn’t add up to me.’ “
“It’s definitely hard and it’s one of those things where sometimes, like, the process with us has been really challenging because there is that betrayal,” Jana explained on the show. The “Love at First Bark” actress told the former star of “The Real Housewives of New York City“, “Help me understand that because I’m just losing my mind.” She continued, “There’s a million mean things I can say to [Mike] but I’m choosing to be kind and walking through this.”
Jana first announced her decision to part ways with Mike via Instagram on April 21. In the post, she noted, “I’ve fought y’all. I’ve loved hard. I’ve forgiven. I’ve put the work in. I’ve given everything I have, and now I have nothing else to give.” She was referring to the time their marriage was hit by infidelity issues.
Though so, Jana pointed out, “Please know that I still believe whole heartedly in marriage, love, and rebuilding.” She went on to note, “I just can’t fight any longer. It’s time to heal.” She concluded her note by stating, “I’ll always encourage you to continue the good fight, but you can’t fight it alone.”
As for the reason behind the split, a source told PEOPLE, “[Mike] cheated and broke her trust again.” The insider also added, “After fighting for the marriage for so long, she’s come to terms with the realization that his patterns were never going to change,” before noting, “The focus now is on their kids.”
