Former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson shared his dismay over the BBC show Pointless fronted by Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman. The Grand Tour host stated that the BBC programme may appear “seemingly harmless” but has since voiced his concerns.
The 60-year-old explained that the popular quiz show has made him feel “four million years older than everyone else in the country”.
It comes after contestants were quizzed about a unit of length but one person was “unsure” of the answer.
Jeremy confessed that the “much younger” contestant wasn’t “stupid” but it only proved how old he feels.
He explained: “Much to my surprise, one contestant was very unsure of what unit of length, that began with the letter Y, is equal to 3ft.
“And then, later, another was similarly confused by what small unit of length, beginning with the letter I, is equivalent to 2.54 centimetres.”
Jeremy continued: “These people weren’t stupid. But they were MUCH younger than me.”
He continued in his latest column for the Sun, that his feeling of being old didn’t stop there after another question showed dates as “CE” or “BCE”.
The presenter said: “Apparently, it stands for ‘common era’ or ‘before common era’ and is intended to make those who don’t believe in the baby Jesus feel more comfortable.
“Well I don’t believe in him, but it didn’t make me feel comfortable.”
He added: “Probably because I was born in 1960 AD.”
Meanwhile, the quiz show host has returned to the ITV show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
To win the grand prize of £1million, those taking part will have to answer a gruelling 15 questions correctly put to them by Jeremy.

But, they’re not entirely alone as they are allowed to use their lifelines; Phone A Friend, 50:50, Ask the Audience and Ask the Host, which was introduced in 2018.
Fans last saw the quiz series back on screens in May but now a new series has been filmed and has returned without a studio audience amid the coronavirus pandemic.
This has instead led to two opportunities to Phone A Friend instead of the Ask The Audience lifeline.
At the beginning of yesterday’s episode, Jeremy explained the Ask The Audience lifeline had been scrapped.
He said: “Lifelines are different, you’ve got 50/50, two phone and friends and of course, ask the host.”
Those watching were quick to comment on the change, with one writing on Twitter: “Strange without an audience. Great to have #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire back though.”
“No Ask the Audience lifeline in #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire the world is gone mad,” shared another.
A third wrote: “It looks so bare without the audience, it’s so strange #whowantstobeamillionaire.”
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV.
