I’d say “wow, this took a turn for the truly shitty.” But let’s be honest with ourselves; this is the direction Johnny Depp’s fight against his ex-wife Amber Heard has been going for a while. Well, today on Johnny vs. Amber, there’s accusations of cosmetic fakery. As if that wasn’t messy enough, he also alleges it all took place while Amber was high on pills.
Despite being divorced for a while, Johnny currently has a $50 million defamation lawsuit against Amber. Amber has alleged in the past that Johnny was abusive while they were married. Johnny shot back and accused Amber of being the violent one. Amber admitted she had hit Johnny, but argued it was in a form of defense to protect her sister. Most recently, a source claimed that Johnny’s team had receipts proving that Amber plotted an abuse “hoax” to make Johnny look bad. E! News got their hands on a declaration that was recently submitted by Team Johnny, where they claim she got creative with her deception.
In the declaration, Johnny accuses Amber of painting on bruises in an attempt to fake injuries and garner sympathy. A picture of Amber sporting a bruise was featured on the cover of People magazine three years ago, the implication of which was that her then-husband Johnny Depp was responsible. Johnny also accuses Amber of causing him “serious bodily injury” – so basically, he’s sticking with the abused husband angle.
As for the pills, Johnny claims Amber’s abuse and bodily paint-by-numbers happened while she was “under the influence” of prescription amphetamines, non-prescription drugs, and booze. He also alleges that Amber used weapons against him like pop and paint thinner cans.
Johnny also accuses Amber of emotional abuse. Remember that story about Amber allegedly shitting in Johnny’s bed to fuck with him? That’s the emotional abuse Johnny’s referring to, and he calls it a “sick prank.” Amber has claimed the poo culprit was their dog Boo.
Amber’s lawyer Eric George released a statement regarding the latest filing by Johnny. Eric references the #TimesUp movement and Amber’s continued spousal abuse claims, and suggests Johnny might want to remove his tinfoil hat, because his alleged conspiracy theories aren’t cute.
“The evidence in this case is clear: Johnny Depp repeatedly beat Amber Heard. The increasingly desperate attempts by Mr. Depp and his enablers to revive his career by initiating baseless litigation against so many people once close to him – his former lawyers, former managers, and his former spouse – are not fooling anyone. In light of the important work done by the #TimesUp movement highlighting the tactics abusers use to continue to traumatize survivors, neither the creative community nor the public will be gaslit by Mr. Depp’s baseless blame-the-victim conspiracy theories.”
Johnny is crazier than a Friday night squirrel, but his suggestion that Amber painted on her own bruises has to come from somewhere besides left field. Especially since it hasn’t been established anywhere that Amber is really good at special effects makeup. Or maybe that’s her secret hidden talent? After all, someone’s got to be responsible for those rare times when Johnny showed up to a red carpet event and looked like someone spent 2 hours de-corpsing his face.
