Taking part in a viral video challenge, the ‘Dance Moms’ alum also names Zendaya her ‘celebrity crush,’ while dubbing Miley Cyrus the ‘nicest’ celebrity and Elton John the ‘coolest.’
AceShowbiz –Jojo Siwa takes a swipe at one veteran Hollywood star. When participating in a viral TikTok video trend challenge, the season 17 judge on “So You Think You Can Dance” branded Candace Cameron Bure as the “rudest celebrity” she’s ever met.
On Sunday, July 24, the 19-year-old personality shared a short clip via her TikTok account that saw her taking part in a challenge to name celebrities. Rocking blue-and-white bikini top while standing on the poolside, she briefly flashed her phone at the camera to show a picture of the former “Fuller House” star when offering her choice for “the rudest celebrity I’ve met.”
In the caption of her post, the “Dance Moms” alum simply quipped, “Pool day = exposed hahahha.” She, however, did not elaborate on why she branded the Hollywood actress as rude. The two also were not known to have worked on any project alongside each other. They did compete on “Dancing with the Stars“, but in different seasons.
While giving Bure the rude title, Siwa named Zendaya Coleman her “celebrity crush,” and picked “Hannah Montana” alum Miley Cyrus as the “nicest” celeb. She also dubbed Elton John the “coolest” celebrity. At the end of her video, the “Boomerang” singer could be seen laughing after showing a picture of Spongebob Squarepants to answer the inquiry of “celebrity that did me dirty.”
Siwa’s response to the iconic cartoon character was likely an allusion to her sour experience with Nickelodeon. In September 2021, she took her frustration on her Twitter account after the network forbid her from performing her own songs from her new movie.
“I go out on tour in January,” she wrote in the since-deleted tweet as per E! News. “My movie musical was just released (with 6 new original songs) … Nickelodeon told me today that I’m not allowed to perform/add any of the songs from the film into my show. These are MY songs, MY voice, MY writing. Does this seem fair???”
In a follow-up tweet, the “D.R.E.A.M.” singer also slammed Nickelodeon for treating her like a brand. “There is no reason that this music should not be included,” she vented her frustration. “Working for a company as a real human being treated as only a brand is fun until it’s not.”
“I want my concert to be the BEST it can possibly be, and I want to perform the songs that YOU have been waiting to hear for 2 years. Having the music from my movie in my show is important to me, I wish it was important to Nickelodeon. Remember I’m a human, not just a brand,” she added.
