When asked about his 20-year-old son’s engagement to the ‘Stranger Things’ actress, the Bon Jovi frontman reveals that three out of his four children are set to be married.
AceShowbiz –Jon Bon Jovi was not bothered by his 20-year-old son’s engagement to Millie Bobby Brown. Nearly one month after his son Jake Bongiovi was unraveled to have asked the “Stranger Things” actress’ hand in marriage, the Bon Jovi frontman shared his belief that age did not matter.
On Tuesday, May 2, Jon sat down for an interview on SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live” show. Being congratulated on Jake’s engagement by host Andy Cohen, the 61-year-old rocker was asked if he was worried about the couple getting engaged at a young age. In response, he stated, “I don’t know if age matters, if you find the right partner and you grow together.”
Jon went on to share his advice to the youngsters, “I think that would be my advice really, is growing together is wise.” He further shared that three out of his four kids are set to be married. “So I think that all of my kids have found the people that they think they can grow together with and we like them all,” he added.
Elsewhere in the interview, Jon also revealed his thoughts on Millie. When he was asked whether he had met his son’s fiancee, the “Livin’ On a Prayer” singer was quick to say that “of course” he had. “Millie is wonderful. Her whole family are great,” he gushed. “Jake is very, very happy.”
Nearly one month before Jon’s SiriusXM interview, Millie confirmed via Instagram that she and Jake have gotten engaged. On April 11, she let out a black-and-white photo of herself being held by her model fiance. Along with the sweet picture, she wrote, “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all.”
Jon himself met the love of his life, Dorothea Hurley, when he was young. He and his high school sweetheart tied the knot in April 1989. Together, they are parents to 29-year-old Stephanie, 28-year-old Jesse and 19-year-old Romeo in addition to Jake.
