Kevin Costner’s estranged wife shuts down claims she ‘stripped house bare’

The mudslinging continues between Kevin Costner and his estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner.

Following a judge’s decision that Baumgartner must vacate their $145 million Santa Barbara property by July 31, came another ruling that she must have a discussion with Costner before removing any items that are not personally hers.

In her latest filing, Entertainment Tonight reports that Baumgartner fires back at claims made by the Yellowstone star that she had “stripped the house bare” and states that an emergency hearing about the items she plans to remove is “uncalled for.”

She goes on to say that she rented an off-site storage unit where she has already stored family heirlooms and a Peloton bike.

In the documents, Baumgartner insists that her estranged husband would “not be harmed” by her removal of any of the personal belongings and she had followed protocol and send a PDF featuring photos of the personal items she removed.

The fight over personal items is just the latest round of nasty allegations made between the former couple.

Just last week the Field of Dreams star accused Baumgartner of “robbing him blind.”

In official court documents he claims Baumgartner has “shown a disturbing propensity in the last several months, both before and after separation, to take [Kevin’s] property without his knowledge or consent, especially after the case was filed.”

He has also accused her of paying her lawyers with an employee’s credit card that is usually reserved for Costner family household expenses.

Costner and Baumgartner married in 2004, and share three children, Cayden 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace 13.

Citing “irreconcilable differences,” Baumgartner filed for divorce from the Yellowstone star on May 1, but she listed the separation date as April 11, 2023.

After she requested $248,000 in child support from Costner, a judge recently ruled that she would instead get $129,755 a month. Both parents are also required to pay 50 percent of medical costs for their children.
