KSI and Logan Paul squared up to one another at their first press conference ahead of their rematch, and fans couldn’t get over how weak their insults to one another were.
The long awaited fight will see KSI – real name Olajide William ‘JJ’ Olatunji – take on Logan Paul in their first professional boxing match, after their amateur bout resulted in a draw.
Over 300,000 people tuned in to the live stream of their press conference, taking place outside the Staples Center in Los Angeles, as the pair traded insults as they geared up to head into the ring on 9 November.
When the pair first squared up to each other in front of promoter Eddie Hearn, Logan’s brother Jake Paul went up and blew smoke from his cigar into KSI’s face – so it was always going to go well.
When it was Logan’s turn to take the mic, he wasn’t content to stand at the podium and wanted to roam around, so ripped the mic stand off the lectern and carried it around with him until someone sorted him out with a wireless microphone.
When it came to insults, however, the livestream viewers were left non-plussed by the quality of barbs being thrown about, with Logan telling KSI he ‘smelt like herpes’ (we literally don’t want to know), to which KSI retaliated that Logan’s breath stank when he came up close to him.
KSI did hit Logan where it hurt (after a long rant about Jake) when he said Logan would be Kong and he would be the coyote.
Fans of the YouTuber will know that Logan had a Pomeranian dog called Kong Da Savage who was sadly killed by a feral coyote who jumped the fence into the yard and attacked the dog, and he admitted that dig did ‘ruin his day’.
Not content to let KSI speak ill of the dead (dog), Logan got the audience chanting ‘JJ has no dick’, and nobody really knows why he chose that particular insult.
KSI then resorted to the classic playground ‘your mum’ joke, and retorted: ‘Go ask your mum, she’s right there. Hey mum, how’s my dick?’, however Mama Paul stuck up for her boys and said KSI has’t got one.
Logan also promised to knock KSI out in the first round of their bout, telling him: ‘Go bake a cake, go fall in love, go do something fun because your life is going to suck after November 9.’
Here’s hoping the rematch on 9 November will be better than these insults, because so far we can’t say we’re impressed by the level of savagery these two have to offer.
