La Roux Singer Calls Kanye West ‘Not 100 Percent Normal’ Following ‘Weird’ Encounter

In a new interview on Phil Taggart’s ‘Slacker’ podcast, Elly Jackson recalls the ‘strange’ moment she experienced when she and the ‘Jesus Is King’ artist were working in the same studio back in 2012.

AceShowbizLa Roux singer spilled the tea about her “strange” encounter with Kanye West when they were working in the same studio back in 2012. In a new interview on Phil Taggart‘s “Slacker” podcast, Elly Jackson revealed that the rapper is “one of those people who’s not 100 percent normal.”

Jackson shared, “You can’t talk about anything normal. You can’t just have a normal conversation.” She went on tay, “He’s on show 24 hours a day, it’s just him. It’s kind of amazing to be around. I’ll never be around anything like that again. It was really strange… He wants people to walk away saying, ‘That was really weird.’ “

Things later took a “creepy” turn when Yeezy found out that Jackson told a mutual friend about the encounter. According to the singer, the husband of Kim Kardashian demanded that she wrote him an email apologizing for her comments.

“It was quite creepy. I remember writing it. I was sat there on my sofa lol-ing to myself like, ‘Dear Kanye…’ They told on me. It was ridiculous,” Jackson continued. “I just wrote it all with a massive grin on my face–although they do actually have quite a lot of power… I was like, ‘I think I am going to genuinely apologize. It’s no skin off my nose to write this email.’ “

Jackson, however, insisted that she didn’t trash-talk the rapper. “I didn’t say anything bad about him,” she said. “I just saw some behavior–and it wasn’t directed at me–that I found upsetting and unsettling.”

This is not the first time Jackson criticized Yeezy. Back in 2014, she claimed to Sunday Times that “nobody likes him.” Despite that, La Roux and the “Gold Digger” rapper seem to be having a great creative chemistry as they collaborated on Kanye’s “All of the Lights” and on the remix of the group’s song “In for the Kill.”
