The ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ actor is spotted out and about for the first time since it’s reported that he and the model ended their relationship after more than four years of dating.
AceShowbiz –Leonardo DiCaprio is relying on his friends. “The Wolf of Wall Street” actor was photographed having fun with his fellas shortly after it’s reported that he and Camila Morrone called it quits.
On Tuesday, August 30, the 47-year-old actor was captured walking through the streets with his two friends in New York City. At one point, he was spotted grabbing an early dinner at Il Buco. For the outing, he’s seen wearing a blue face mask and a white T-shirt.
The sighting comes the same day as news broke that he and Camila, his girlfriend of more than four years, broke up. The last time he was spotted out together with Camila was over the Fourth of July weekend, in Malibu, California.
Revealing the news about Leonardo and Camila’s relationship status was PEOPLE. Representatives for the actor and the model, however, declined to comment on the breakup reports.
The “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” star and the 25-year-old beauty reportedly started dating in 2017. While they were notoriously private about their romance, a source told PEOPLE in 2019 that the pair were “pretty serious” about each other.
“It’s definitely not a casual relationship,” claimed the so-called insider. “Camila spends a lot of time at his house. Camila is long known as Leo’s girlfriend. And Leo introduced her to both of his parents long ago.”
A separate informant said that Leo “loves being with” Camila and that they “spent 24/7” with each other during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. The source went on stressing, “They are very close.”
Since dating Leonardo, Camila often received criticism about their age-gap romance. Despite admitting that the backlash was “frustrating,” the catwalk beauty insisted that it’s not that big of a deal. “There’s so many relationships in Hollywood, and in the history of the world, where people have large age gaps. I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date,” she said in an interview back in 2018.
When sitting down with WSJ magazine in January 2020, Camila echoed a similar sentiment. Discussing her age gap with the actor, the “Mickey and the Bear” actress tried to not let the negativity wear her down as saying, “It would never take away the joy of the craft that I get to do.”
“More exposure leads to more judgment and negativity,” she told the magazine. “It’s a little bit of a bummer because you’re really trying to do good work and be nice and be a good person, and in the meantime…people wish negative things upon you.”
