Louise Redknapp has spoken candidly about moving on following her divorce from Jamie Redknapp, as she discussed her eldest son giving her permission to date. The singer detailed how she has been struggling being on her own as she discussed her family.
Speaking in a new interview, the 45-year-old said she’s ready to get back dating, after receiving the go ahead from her 15-year-old son Charley.
“I’m very single at the moment, which is not a good thing,” Louise told The Sun.
“My eldest is 15 and super-protective over me. But he knows he can talk to me about anything and doesn’t need to be embarrassed, I’m so open.”
She added: “One morning he said to me, ‘If you ever did want to go on a date, I’d be OK with it’.”

Earlier this month, Louise’s ex-husband Jamie, 46, revealed their co-parenting of their children has been going “really well”.
After the pair separated in 2017, it is believed they have remained friends.
The football star opened up about how he has found homeschooling Beau in the past few months on This Morning last week.
It came after Holly asked the football pundit: “And Jamie obviously now for you, you’ve got another challenge on your hands because you’re homeschooling with those boys.
