Love Island twins Jess and Eve Gale are clever, say their dad, as he hits back at claims about their intelligence.
As Eve found her time on the ITV2 reality show brought to a premature close, Brian Gale hit back at viewers who have been less the complimentary about their perceived education.
He has insisted that the 20-year-olds were actually pretty smart as they go to one of London's top universities.
Hitting back at the haters on Twitter , the angry father wrote: "It is possible to be a girl, look really good, wear make up and dye your hair blonde and still go to a good University."
Love Island fans have not really taken to the twins and have been pretty judgemental about them and their 'irritating habits' like licking their lips and teeth as they talk to their fellow Islanders.
It has been alleged that their 'baby voices' have made them sound unintelligent but dad Brian has disputed the bad vibes directed at his daughters.
He continued on Twitter: "Love Island Jess attends University College London and her sister Eve attends King's College London. So more competition."
The protective father also had a Twitter spat with former X Factor star Jake Quickenden, after he shared that the twins were doing his "f***ing head in."
After the twins had insisted that they have never fought over a man, the 30-year-old singer couldn't contain his outrage and tweeted: "The twins: 'we never argue over a man'. The twins 10mins in: 'you're doing my f**king head in I like that one' #loveisland".
Brian was quick to defend his girls and hit back at Jake, insisting: "I have seen them have a bigger disagreement over a t-shirt".
Jess has been studying psychology while Eve was studying Geography and the pair decided to defer for a year so that they could try and find love in the South African villa.
It hasn't quite worked out for them though and the twins have been ripped apart as Eve was dramatically kicked out of the villa.
The dramatic recoupling was filled with unexpected twists and ended with both of the twins fighting for their place on the island.
The power was in the boys' hands as they chose who they were going to couple up with – and ultimately it was up to Nas Majeed to decide who would be leaving.
Now Jess will continue on her own in the villa while Eve will join the rest of the nation in following the antics on television.
