Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hague ‘gets therapy’ to help battle online trolls

Struggling Molly-Mae Hague has been having therapy to help deal with the aftermath of Love Island .

The runner-up has been having difficulty in the face of public backlash since landing back to the UK.

She finally returned to social media on Sunday, a week after the series came to an end.

Molly-Mae and partner Tommy Fury lost out on the £50,000 prize to Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea.

But their silence fuelled split rumours – something they distanced themselves from on the Love Island reunion show.

Now, The Sun claim her blackout was due to the volume of abuse she was getting on Instagram and twitter.

An insider said: “It’s been really difficult for Molly-Mae since leaving the show.

“She’s always had a really positive experience online but has been cruelly targeted since going on Love Island.

“It's been incredibly upsetting for her and she’s really struggled to understand why it’s happened to her.

"She decided to take up the offer of therapy to try and get her head around it all and hopefully get back to her old self soon.

"All the Islanders are offered it but everyone has been particularly worried about her since the show and have insisted she get some help to cope with it all.

“She was also advised to take a break from being online, which she has taken onboard.”

They added: “Out of everyone on the show Molly-Mae has struggled the most, which is both surprising and upsetting considering she was always an influencer.

“It’s been a worrying situation for everyone.”

She said on Sunday's show that she thinks her romance with Tommy is getting serious.

Molly-Mae said: "It was horrible spending time apart.
