Madonna issues sweet birthday tribute to son Rocco

Madonna is continuing her recovery from a life-threatening bacterial infection earlier this year, slowly ramping up her physical fitness to put on the extravagant live shows she’s become known for after decades as the Queen of Pop.

As the countdown for her Celebrations tour begins, the 65-year-old was spotted biking around New York City with a personal trainer on Wednesday.

The Like A Virgin singer seemed happy and healthy as she rode along the streets on her bright blue bicycle.

She was working up a sweat in her own merchandise, donning a pair of her Disturb The Peace shorts over gym leggings that clung to her toned calves.

The A League of Their Own star also sported a long-sleeve black Nike shirt, black and white patterned bandana around her neck and a black cap.

Madonna took her workout very seriously as she was fitted out with a pair of sophisticated fingerless exercise gloves and rectangular sunglasses keeping the wind out of her eyes.

She wore her iconic blonde hair in two plaits that flitted about as she picked up speed.

Passerbys seemed completely oblivious to the popstar riding past them as she returned to her active lifestyle after her harrowing health scare in June, just days before her Celebrations tour was meant to start in Canada.

She remained in hospital for multiple days as she was treated for a serious bacterial infection and her family were reportedly left fearing the worst when the Grammy winner had to be “brought back from the dead”.

Madonna ultimately made it home and was expected to make a full recovery, although not in time to start the North American leg of her Celebrations world tour.

The mother-of-six ultimately had to reschedule the dates, including a run at Madison Square Garden, moving them to January next year when the tour was originally meant to end in Mexico.

The rest of her tour is set to go ahead as originally planned, with the Celebration now kicking off in London on October 14th.
