Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped out looking all kinds of chic at the 2022 Ripple of Hope Award Gala in New York City on Tuesday night—and Meghan was stunning in a white Louis Vuitton off-the-shoulder gown which she paired with an iconic piece of jewelry that once belonged to Princess Diana.
Meghan wore Diana’s aquamarine ring to the event, which Page Six reports the late Princess of Wales had commissioned in 1996 as a replacement for her engagement ring following her divorce from then-Prince Charles. Meanwhile, Duchess Meghan previously wore the ring as a “something blue” during her and Prince Harry’s wedding reception:
Meghan and Harry were honored at the Ripple of Hope Awards “in recognition of their work on racial justice, mental health, and other social impact initiatives through their Archewell Foundation.” They were named one of several “exemplary leaders across government, business, advocacy, and entertainment who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to social change and worked to protect and advance equity, justice, and human rights.”
Robert F. Kennedy’s daughter Kerry Kennedy said of the Sussexes, “When the duke and duchess accepted our award laureate invitation back in March, we were thrilled. The couple has always stood out for their willingness to speak up and change the narrative on racial justice and mental health around the world. They embody the type of moral courage that my father once called the ‘one essential, vital quality for those who seek to change a world that yields most painfully to change.'”
Meghan and Harry’s night out comes just days before the premiere of their Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan—Volume I of which drops on December 8. Get ready for a late night tonight!
