Thomas Markle has taken a fresh swipe at his daughter Meghan after excerpts of a new biography about her marriage have been released.
The book, which focuses on 38 year old Meghan's relationship with Prince Harry, 35, and their decision to step back from the Royal family, is currently being serialised ahead of the release next month.
Meghan's 76 year old dad has now hit out at her over stories told in the book, Finding Freedom, written by journalists Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand.
Speaking from his home in Rosario, Mexico, he said: "This is the worst time in the world for them to be whining and complaining about anything — because people everywhere are suffering due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Kate Middleton and Prince William’s friends say couple 'welcomed Meghan Markle with open arms' after claims she felt shunned
"I love my daughter but I really don't appreciate what she's become right now," he continued to tell The Sun.
One claim made in the book is that the Royal family advised Harry and Meghan to get help for Thomas to protect him from the media, which they reportedly "rejected."
He continued: "The fact the royals advised them to get me help and they refused to do it is incredible news."
The "hurtful" book meticulously details the Duke and Duchess' fractured relationship with the monarchy and is believed to have the potential to destroy the couple's negotiatory powers once their 'trial period' in America is up.
A royal source told The Mail: "The review period has not yet been discussed but it doesn't seem if there is any way of going back now.
"Some very private family matters have now been aired in public, seemingly with their blessing. That will be hurtful."

"But it's hard to see how they can now salvage the new role they wanted as 'hybrid' royals, running commercial careers alongside royal duties from the US."
A senior figure also said: "Given the state of the world this just seems so ill-timed. The Sussexes need to move on."

The book is thought to paint the couple in a positive light, however there has already been some shocking revelations within it.
One such claim is that Prince William warned his brother to take things slow when it came to the American actress and a senior royal also referred to her as "Harry's showgirl."
The Duke of Sussex was reportedly "p****d off" with his older brother and "could see through" his words when he told Harry not to "rush this" and "take as much time as you need to get to know this girl" as he was worried he might be "blinded by lust."
