Jeff Lewis had to put himself back out there after his split from Gage Edward. The Flipping Out star turned to Patti Singer of Millionaire Matchmaker for help. Find out how she helped him find someone new, and learn more about his new relationship.
Jeff Lewis and Gage Edward broke up after ‘Flipping Out’
The couple was seen working together and having a serious relationship on Flipping Out. Since the finale of the last season, Lewis announced they broke up.
“This has been a long time coming. We were in separate rooms a significant portion of last year, so it was kind of like a roommate situation,” said Lewis on his show, Jeff Lewis Live. He gave several reasons for their split.
He said, “I think the reason we hadn’t ripped the Band-Aid off and separated is because a) we had the baby and neither one of us want to leave the baby and then b) financially, it wasn’t the best time because I have four properties right now — three of which are in construction and one of which is sellable.”
He is now dating Scott Anderson
The reality star is moving on and now is dating Scott Anderson. According to The Blast, they have been dating for about six months.
Lewis has shared some pictures with him on Instagram. He also hasn’t been afraid to talk about some of their bad moments.
He revealed that he had a “state of the union” meeting to go over their relationship. “He’s not talking to me at this second,” he said according to Daily Mail.
The interior designer added, “I’m realizing, I’m lonely, I’m kind of lonely. I’m dating someone… and I’m lonely. But that’s kind of a lot for him. And that’s where we’re at.”
Patti Singer set him up with his boyfriend
The matchmaker talked about helping out Lewis after his breakup. She said she’s the reason behind his new relationship.
“I fixed him up with his boyfriend, so he’s exclusive,” she told Too Fab. “Scott — I did that. Cha-ching!” Singer revealed how she was brought in to help him with his love life.
“[Jeff] called me up and said, ‘I can’t find anyone to date after Gage.’ And he was going through hell with Gage, and I was counseling him, and I just said, ‘Don’t worry. I got it,’” she said. “And me and my vice president, Erica [Arrechea], fixed him up. That was a while ago. They’ve been going out for a while.”
Lewis has gotten into trouble talking about Edward on his radio show. Singer gave him advice for that too.
“I told him not to do it,” she said. “Because the thing is, especially when you’re going through a custody battle, legal stuff, I was like, ‘This is not wise.’ And I knew Gage had pent-up resentment and anger. I’d go out to dinner with him, and I’d see it. So I knew that this wasn’t a good thing.”
It looks like Lewis is continuing to move forward. He still reportedly is working on custody of his daughter with Edward.
