Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan, 54, and his co-star Susanna Reid, 48, spoke to AJ Pritchard, 24, and Saffron Barker, 19, about their Strictly Come Dancing 2019 experience so far.
But, it wasn’t long before the outspoken journalist asked the pair if they are “at it” behind the scenes, which they vehemently denied.
Professional dancer AJ referred to the show as his “dream job” and said he was with the “best partner” this series.
His comment prompted Piers to ask: “Are you two at it like all the Strictly couples or not?”

They laughed off the question, before the presenter pushed them for an answer.
The dancing duo then replied, “no” at the same time.
AJ went on to say he has a girlfriend, who doesn’t mind him dancing with Saffron.
“She’s a hot blonde also, so I’m very happy when I get to dance with her,” AJ replied.
“It’s a profession Piers, if you want to make it work you have to go in the studio 12 hours a day, you want to make it perfect.”
After the chat, one ITV viewer slammed the presenter for asking the pair about a potential romance.
They wrote: “I usually like @piersmorgan’s blunt questioning style, but to straight away jump in and ask AJ and Saffron from Strictly ‘if they are at it’ was so rude! #GMB.”
Hitting back at the Twitter user, he replied: “Obvious question to ask any Strictly couple these days, given the answer is usually, ‘Yes’.”
Piers was seemingly referring to the so-called Strictly curse; a term used to describe couples who have got together or broken up after appearing on the show.
Last year, professional dancer Katya Jones was pictured kissing her celebrity partner Seann Walsh, who were both in relationships at the time.
This year, AJ and Saffron have been at the centre of romance speculation, but the latter firmly denied this in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk.
Saffron Barker said her and AJ Pritchard are no more than friends.
While the YouTube star may be single, AJ is in a relationship with his fellow dancer Abbie Quinnen, 23.
She said: “Honestly, I just look at AJ as such a good friend.
“We got close really quickly, but we have a personality that just bounces off each other and I don’t think we will be anymore than friends. He’s got a girlfriend.”
On what AJ is like in rehearsals, she added: “He’s amazing and so much fun, and very calm which is nice.”
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
Strictly Come Dancing continues this Saturday at 7.10pm on BBC One.
