Prince Harry is releasing his bombshell memoir, the iconically titled Spare, on January 10—which is slightly awkward timing for the royal family.
Royal expert and author Angela Levin points out that January 9 happens to be Kate Middleton’s birthday, though Harry’s publication date was likely picked because it’s near the anniversary of his and Meghan’s departure from senior royal duties. Regardless, Levin told The Sun:
I mean, maybe! Orrrrrrrr maybe that was just a date that worked best in the Penguin Random House’s publication calendar.
Anyway, Kate Middleton is definitely used to drama going down around her birthday. Meghan and Harry dropped the bombshell news of their departure from the royal family on January 8, 2020, and in the middle of the chaos that followed, Kate hopped online and posted this photo of herself perched on a fence:
