Prince William and Kate all smiles as they break cover after brother Harry’s attacks

Prince William has been seen for the first time after Prince Harry's bombshell book release earlier this week.

The Prince of Wales smiled as he and wife Kate Middleton made their way to carry out royal engagements in the north of England later today.

It's the first time that William has been seen amid the Harry fallout, as Kate was pictured yesterday when she drove home from dropping Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis off at school.

King Charles is also back to work today, carrying out an engagement in Abderdeenshire.

Prince Harry released his tell-all memoir, Spare, days ago, which made many claims about the royal family.

Kate is said to be left “appalled” by it all, especially as her name has been “dragged through the dirt”.

“Kate feels that Harry's actions are atrocious,” a source told US Weekly.

“She is appalled at him for dragging her name through the dirt and is finding it hard to forgive."

The Prince and Princess of Wales are travelling to Merseyside to meet healthcare workers where they will thank the staff for their efforts during the winter months, which are routinely a challenging period for the NHS.

They will also meet individuals working in mental health support services in the county.

Earlier today King Charles travelled to Aberdeenshire to visit the Aboyne and Mid-Deeside Community Shed to tour its new facilities and meet local hardship support groups.

The King was greeted by Lord Lieutenant Sandy Manson before being given a tour of the Community Shed’s ground floor.

As the Royal Family continues life as normal, Harry’s book is breaking records across the globe and has become the fastest selling non-fiction book in history.

The book was published in 16 different languages and sold a staggering 1.4 million copies on its first day.

Speaking about the record sales, president and publisher of the Random House Group Gina Centrello said: “While many books by public figures can be fairly categorized as ‘celebrity memoir’, Spare is not that.

“Vulnerable and heartfelt, brave and intimate, Spare is the story of someone we may have thought we already knew, but now we can truly come to understand Prince Harry through his own words.

“Looking at these extraordinary first day sales, readers clearly agree, Spare is a book that demands to be read, and it is a book we are proud to publish.”

The book includes claims that the Prince of Wales physically attacked him and teased him about his panic attacks, and that the King put his own interests above Harry’s and was jealous of the Duchess of Sussex and the Princess of Wales.

A YouGov survey has found the popularity of Harry has fallen since his book was published, with 68% of 1,691 adults polled on Tuesday and Wednesday having a negative opinion about him while 24% thought positively of him.

The online research data group said the figures meant the duke had his lowest ever net favourability rating of minus 44, down from minus 38 last week, which had been his previous record low.
