Dancing on Ice star Sally Dynevor has revealed the two-word warning that Princess Anne gave her after finding out that she is competing in the ice-skating competition. The Coronation Street actress, 58, who played Sally Webster in the ITV soap, was awarded the medal by the royal on Wednesday while visiting Windsor Castle.

Addressing her meeting with the senior member of the royal family, Sally divulged what Princess Anne made of her taking to the ice.
Speaking after the ceremony, Sally said: “(The princess) was lovely.
“She said ‘how long have you been in Coronation Street?’
“And I said it was 36 years, she said ‘that’s a very long time’.
“I said, ‘It is, but I’ve enjoyed every moment of it'”, she told PA news agency.
The actress also spoke about her ongoing stint on Dancing on Ice with the royal.
Upon learning that Sally was partaking in the popular ITV competition, Princess Anne remarked that her decision to take to the ice was a “very dangerous” one.
The Corrie star told how she was inspired to appear on the show “because of lockdown,” adding, “it made me realise that we’re just not getting any younger”.
Despite it being halfway through the week, Sally admitted that she had not yet started working on her routine for the weekend’s show yet.
However, the actress added that she was on her way to rehearsals after the award ceremony.
Addressing the moment the legendary Corrie star was going to be awarded an MBE, Sally admitted she thought someone was playing a joke on her.
She said: “Actually, when I got the email I thought it was a hoax, I thought someone was playing a joke.
“I rang my son and I said ‘Sam, I’ve had this email and I’m really worried about it because it says I’m up for an MBE but that can’t be right’.
“Sam said ‘I don’t think anyone would joke about that, mum’ – then after that, I started to take it seriously,” she explained.
This season sees Sally partnered with ice skating professional Matt Evers as she competes in the competition.
Following her first performance, Sally scored 23 points and was placed fifth on the leaderboard.
After her performance on Movie week last weekend, Sally was awarded 26 out of 40.
Last week saw Lorraine presenter Ria Hebden voted off the show after she went up against S-Club star Rachel Stevens in the skate-off.
Dancing on Ice continues on Sunday on ITV at 6pm.
