Princess Charlotte is expected to inherit one of Princess Diana’s most famous and priceless heirlooms, it has been revealed.
As the only daughter of Kate Middleton and Prince William, Charlotte is second in line to the throne and palace sources have said Charlotte is likely to receive Diana’s family tiara.
According to GoodToKnow, the 6 year old will have her choice of all the palace jewels when she’s older.
It is reported that the Cambridge youngster is already aware of this and has her eye on two pieces already, including the Spencer Tiara that Lady Diana famously wore at her wedding to Prince Charles in 1981.

Royal reporters suggest this prized possession that is currently looked after by Diana’s youngest brother, Charles, 9th Earl Spencer, and will be given to Charlotte when she’s older.
A insider told GoodToKnow: “William is close with his uncle and has asked if his mother’s namesake tiara can be given to Charlotte someday.
“William is quite aware the earl has daughters of his own, but the two have agreed that Diana’s iconic piece belongs to her first granddaughter.”
The exquisite headpiece has been in the Spencer family for almost a century and both of Diana’s sisters, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes, wore the family heirloom at their own weddings too.
Diana chose to wear her family’s tiara on her wedding day, as opposed to borrowing one of the Queen’s for the grand occasion, as Meghan Markle did in 2018 and Kate Middleton did in 2011.
Prince Harry’s daughter with Meghan Markle, Lilibet Diana, is unlikely to receive this family heirloom as she is not a child of a future King.
Another source told Australian magazine New Idea that Charlotte is “giddy with excitement” about inheriting her late Grandmother’s prized tiara.
The source revealed: “Lotte knows all about her ‘Granny Diana’ – after all, Diana is one of her middle names. She’s also seen pictures of her wearing the tiara.
“Charlotte is more than aware that she’s a princess, and she’s already got plastic tiaras and gowns to play dress-ups in. It’s very cute.”
The ornate Spencer tiara dates back to the 1930s and consists of Spencer family jewels, including a wedding present to Diana’s grandmother, Lady Cynthia Spencer for her marriage to Viscount Althorp.
It is expected that Charlotte will also inherit priceless crown jewels from The Queen too.
There are even reports of the next Cambridge princess receiving the $18.5 million Vladimir Tiara that holds emeralds from the Queen’s grandmother, Queen May.
With this in mind along with the so-called “Kate effect”, Charlotte is expected to become the richest young royals and a billionaire with an estimated worth of £3.6 million.
