Rihanna has blithely revealed that she’s been residing in London for a year – and no-one seemed to realise.
The singer, 31, who originally hails from Barbados, told The New York Times, ‘[I enjoy] walking around the block. When I go walking, I try to keep it a little incognito,’ adding that she finds bank holidays ‘insane’ [in a good way].
On learning this, Brits have gone wild with excitement – with many joining the dots from last week, when the star shared a selfie which had a Sainsbury’s bag for life in the backdrop.

Shocked to see that the millionairess R’n’B star even knew about the British supermarket chain, comments materialised on Instagram to the tune of, ‘I honestly never thought I would see Rihanna next to a Sainsbury’s bag,’ and, ‘Rihanna owning a Sainsbury’s bag for life. She is truly one of the people.’
The fan reaction has, again, blown up, since Rihanna’s casual revelation that she walks among Londoners.
One person tweeted: ‘I knew it! That’s why there was a Sainsbury’s bag for life in the back of that pic she posted! Can you imagine Rihanna at the self check out in Sainsbury’s.’
Another wrote: ‘SHOOK SHOOK SHOOK. The True Queen of England.’

She has joinined forces with luxury group LVMH to launch ‘Fenty’, her own brand of clothes, shoes and accessories.
Rihanna announced the news on Instagram and wrote: ‘Big day for the culture. thank you Mr.Arnault for believing in this little girl from the left side of an island, and for giving me the opportunity to grow with you at.

In the same New York Times interview, she admitted that inspiration for her new luxury fashion line was easy to find.
The songstress was ‘hands-on’ in the creative process and said she used herself ‘as the muse’ when cultivating the collection, which is set to be released online beginning May 29.

I’m very hands-on, so I wanted to take it slowly and gain respect as a designer.
‘It just changed how I dress in terms of my proportions. You wear what looks good on you and that’s it.

However, she did confirm the next release will be a ‘reggae album’ but she doesn’t have a title yet.
‘So far it’s just been R9, thanks to the Navy. I’m about to call it that probably, ’cause they have haunted me with this “R9, R9, when is R9 coming out?” How will I accept another name after that’s been burned into my skull?’ Rihanna explained.
