Selena Gomez is taking part in “Black Out Tuesday“.
The 27-year-old entertainer shut down her website, leaving only a message and a few Black Lives Matter accounts to follow.
“It’s my hope today you are taking the time to do some introspective thinking about how we can all come together and listen to one another with an open heart and mind. The country is long overdue for meaningful changes to our broken society. Black lives matter,” the message reads, with the accounts the following accounts listed, “@blklivesmatter @whenweallvote @colorofchange @naacp”
In addition to her personal site being down, Selena‘s Rare Beauty Instagram page also shared a message, along with a black box.
“To our community, we are going dark tomorrow to take part in #BlackoutTuesday. It’s our hope that we can all take time to do some introspective thinking about how we can all come together and listen to one another with an open heart and mind,” the statement read.
“We’re also thinking through how we can take action against systemic racism and make change. The country is long overdue for meaningful changes to our broken society. Black lives matter,” the caption concluded with the hashtag, “#theshowmustbepaused.”
