? The boys are back in town ? I’ve loved having some one on one time with Rex over the last 2 weeks but I can’t tell you how happy my heart is that all of my boys are back home and on the sofa giving me the best cuddles I could wish for! Summer is nearly over ? This one is an emotional one for me because after 2 years of homeschooling Zachary is off to Secondary School and I just can’t believe how quickly it’s come around. ? I’m going to make the most of the last few days of the holidays before my baby becomes a big boy! (He will always be my baby ??) P.S Rex’s face cracks me up! P.P.S is anyone else’s babies off to secondary school? Or recently started? What’s your best advise, hacks, tips? ?

It’s a big week for Stacey Solomon and her family as she’s revealed that her eldest son is off to secondary school after being home-schooled.

The 11-year-old will be starting a new school this week after being taught at home for two years.

Writing ahead of his first day at ‘big school’, the Loose Women star sharing a family selfie with Zachary’s seven-year-old brother Leighton, Joe Swash and their newest addition Rex, she announced the big news.

‘The boys are back in town. I’ve loved having some one on one time with Rex over the last two weeks but I can’t tell you how happy my heart is that all of my boys are back home and on the sofa giving me the best cuddles I could wish for!’

Mum-of-three Stacey continued: ‘Summer is nearly over. This one is an emotional one for me because after two years of home-schooling Zachary, [he] is off to secondary school and I just can’t believe how quickly it’s come around.

They’re off on their holidays with their daddy’s tonight and they’ve been inseperable all day! They’re going to have the best time but they will miss each other lots. (And I will miss them a tiny bit too ?). For the last couple of days they’ve stopped arguing and bickering and have been really soppy and cuddly knowing that they’re about to go off on their adventures. For the first time they have an new dimension, leaving Rexy. It’s always hard to split them up, but its so important for them to spend special time and make memories with the rest of their families. Recently I’ve experienced people having a lot to say about alternative family set ups. So I thought id just say this… No matter what negative, unhelpful things people may say or think, ignore it because they’re wrong. Don’t ever let it get you down. It doesn’t define you or your family. The boys’ brotherly bond is just as strong as any other regardless of our set up -and the decisions I’ve made have made us stronger as a family. I used to really beat myself up about not being able to offer them a “normal”, “perfect” family all under one roof. Until I realised how normal, and perfect our family is for us. Seeing the way they are together reminds me that it’s all ok. Families come in all shapes and sizes and what’s important is that the love is there no matter where it comes from. We are not a “broken family” in any way shape or form we are an extended family. And everyone loves an extension.

In the post that has racked up over 166k likes, she asked her fans for some advice to get Zachary’s week off to the best start.

‘P.P.S is anyone else’s babies off to secondary school? Or recently started? What’s your best advice, hacks, tips?’ she said.

Stacey in the past has taken responsibility for her sons’ education along with a tutor.

Speaking to HELLO! In April, Stacey said that they had been exploring the option of her eldest going to secondary school.

‘Zachary is definitely showing an interest into going to secondary school. So we are looking into those options and we’ll just have to wait and see,’ she said.

‘I feel like my boys interact really well socially, they have clubs, they still see their friends from school but especially my eldest, he definitely feels that his friends from school have a different relationship because they see each other every day and he doesn’t.’

Stacey admitted that she found home-schooling a challenge and there was a constant question over whether it was the best option and education for her children. One of the big issues she had was with the socialising but overall she was impressed with her children’s performance and how they had taken to home-schooling.
