Like father, like son.
Steve Irwin’s 15-year-old son, Robert, looked like a chip off the old block on Instagram Wednesday, channeling the beloved Crocodile Hunter in near identical picture years apart.
“Dad and me feeding Murray,” Robert captioned a side-by-side comparison of himself and his famous father feeding the large reptile. “Same place, same croc — two photos 15 years apart ❤️”
Robert has followed in his Irwin’s footsteps after his dad died in 2006 when he was only 2-years-old. The teen works at the Australia Zoo and stars in the Animal Planet series “Crikey! It’s the Irwins,” alongside mom Terri Irwin and older sister, Bindi Irwin, 20.

In 2006, Irwin tragically died after a stingray attacked him while working on the underwater film “Ocean’s Deadliest” in Australia. He was just 44.
Bindi compared her father’s death to “losing a part of your heart,” adding that, “when you’ve lost that, you never get it back.”
“I remember people coming up to me and saying, ‘I’m sorry for your loss, sweetheart. Time heals all wounds.’ But that’s just not true,” she told People in December, adding that she hopes “dad would be proud” of their efforts to continue his legacy.
Robert added, “This is our passion. It’s a part of us.”

The teen’s followers surely think Irwin would be overjoyed over his children’s path.
“Can’t begin to imagine how proud he would be Robert,” user @lisa_wilkinson wrote, while @amiejanesolomon commented: “You & Bindi are doing such an incredible job carrying on your Dads legacy but here you are literally following in his footsteps.”
Robert paid tribute to Irwin on Father’s Day last month by sharing a throwback picture.
