Strictly Come Dancing: Jason Bell is the SECOND celebrity to be eliminated from the show after facing Nicola Adams in the dance-off
Jason Bell became the second celebrity to be eliminated from this year’s edition of Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday’s results show.
The former NFL player, 42, and his professional partner Luba Mushtuk, 30, found themselves in the dance-off with Nicola Adams and her pro Katya Jones.
Yet Jason and Luba’s Paso Doble to the Star Wars Theme by John Williams failed to impress the judging panel made up of Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel Horwood.

The three judges instead decided to save Nicola, 38, and Katya, 31, who have made history on the show as the first-ever same-sex couple.
The dancing duo impressed the judging panel with their Jive to Greased Lightnin’ from the hit musical Grease.
Jason and Nicola found themselves in the dreaded dance-off after scoring the lowest scores of Saturday’s episode with 12 points out of 30 and 19 points out of 30, respectively. The scores were also combined with the public’s vote.
After the two sporting stars performed their routines from Saturday night’s show again, which had a Movie Week theme, the judges were unanimous as they all voted for Nicola and Katya to stay.

Craig, 55, said: ‘Well there was a marked improvement in both performances this evening and both couples actually took the notes that we gave them which was brilliant. But the couple I would like to save is Nicola and Katya.’
While Motsi, 39, added: ‘I definitely saw that one couple was stronger – stronger performance, stronger technique, stronger intention and that is why I’m saving Nicola and Katya.’
After his fate on the show was revealed, Jason said that his time on the hit BBC One dance programme had been ‘amazing’ and everyone had been ‘wonderful’.
He said: ‘It was an opportunity of a lifetime. I had so much fun, thank you Luba. You have worked so hard with me, you’re a great friend for life and I appreciate all that you’ve done, I really do.

‘I’ve had such a good time here. Everybody is wonderful. I mean really this is amazing – this is a brilliant place! This is the best group of people ever, this is amazing.’
While Luba added: ‘You really bring the joy to my life, and I am so honoured and proud to be partnered with you. I now have a friend for life.
‘I just want to say, to be actually able to do this show…shout out to everyone who does so much sacrifices to make this happen. It is such an honour to be here and I’m very proud of you.’
Elsewhere on the results show, The Kanneh-Masons gave a stellar performance for viewers at home.

It read: ‘In light of the new lockdown measures which take effect in England from Thursday 5 November, we’re sad to announce that we won’t be able to have a live studio audience for Strictly Come Dancing during November.
‘Ticket holders have been notified. No tickets will be sent out for December shows until we are sure it will be safe and compliant to welcome audiences back, so please keep checking back for updates. We will continue to follow government guidelines.’
They added: ‘We understand how disappointing this will be, but we very much hope we will see some of you later in the series – and in the meantime you can continue to watch all the action from the comfort and safety of your sofa, live on Saturday nights, with extra backstage gossip every weekday evening on Strictly – It Takes Two.’
Strictly Come Dancing returns next Saturday at 7:10pm on BBC One.
