They won the hearts of the nation, and Strictly Come Dancing champ Giovanni Pernice will have another reason why he will never forget winning the dancing competition.
The professional dancer, 31, showed off a new tattoo to permanently honour lifting the coveted Glitterball trophy with EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis in December 2021.
Giovanni has a plethora of tats and posted his latest artwork in an Instagram story to his ever-growing following of fans.
The star proudly chose the Queen classic We Are The Champions to soundtrack the video of his completed tattoo. The dancing pro will now forever have "SCD. 18.12.2021" inside the show's iconic mirrorball inscribed on his lower arm.
The 2021 champion has also used the social media page to discuss rumours over his partner Rose.
In another post the dancing king said: "Just a quick message to clarify all the rumours that are going around at the moment," he announced.
"Yes, it's true. Rose is not doing the tour at all anymore, so I will be dancing on my own, all day, every day."
But, Rose appeared from behind the phone and said, "I’m not going anywhere."
In the video, Giovanni replied: "You’re not going anywhere? You are coming on tour with me? Oh, she is doing the tour."
The rumours began as sources suggested Rose is could be lined up for more high profile opportunities.
EastEnders cast and crew are reportedly ready for the inspirational deaf actress to "get itchy feet", with her eyes apparently set on making it in Hollywood, a source from The Sun stated.
But, a spokesperson for EastEnders claims that is not the case.
The BBC show insisted: "There is no truth in this. Rose has no intention to quit EastEnders and is very much looking forward to filming again in the New Year."
The popular pair have kicked off the the show’s live tour in Birmingham and will continue to waltz and jive across the UK with other stars from last year’s series.
They’ll be joined by other couples including the runners-up, chef John Whaite and Johannes Radebe, children’s presenter Rhys Stephenson and new pro dancer Nancy Xu.
Dragon’s Den star Sara Davies and Aljaž Škorjanec, as well as chef star Tilly Ramsay will join the tour, but instead of dancing with Nikita Kuzmin the TikTok star will initially be with professional Neil Jones.
A couple of stars from the 2020 competition will join the class of 2021 on tour. The Wanted singer Max George, will be dancing with with Katya Jones, and another EastEnders actress, Maisie Smith, will be dancing with Kai Widdrington on the 33 date tour.
