Louise Redknapp, 47, has thanked fans for their concern after they warned her against giving her puppy rawhide chew toys. She had taken to Instagram yesterday to post a video of her new bulldog puppy, Banksy Blu, “having a chew” on his toy.
But the heartwarming video raised alarm among some of Louise’ 740,000 followers, who advised her against buying rawhide.
Poppet1991 said: “Beautiful Banksy but please be careful with rawhide. Not recommended for any dog.”
Viksi47 added: “Gorgeous but I wouldn’t recommend rawhide it is so bad as the stomach can not digest once swallowed.” (sic)
Tracymizen commented: “Was just going to say rawhide is not good for bullies.
“However an antler is very much ok to chew on x”
Louise was quick to take note of her fans’ warnings and posted a comment noting that she had taken the toy off Banksy Blu.
She penned: “Hi guys thanks for all the advice on rawhide we took it off him pretty quick before it got soft and could get caught in his throat.
“Thanks for all the concern xxx”
Banksy Blu’s arrival came after last month Louise announced that she had “said goodbye” to her beloved dog Blu.
In a heartfelt statement on Instagram, Louise said she was “absolutely heartbroken” about her loss and that she would miss her “little girl Blu”.
She shared a series of pictures documenting beloved memories of her late pooch.
In the caption, she wrote: “I am absolutely heartbroken that we had to say goodbye to our little girl Blu early this morning.

“I am going to miss you so much my darling girl your escaping through the fence, chasing the squirrels out of the garden, our long walks in the woods watching you run carefree, going upstairs when we say ‘bed time’ and getting on mummy’s bed instead of in your own and most of all your kisses and cuddles every day.
“I wanted to share this with you because I know so many of you follow their insta page and loved seeing what Blu and Rudi were up to and loved them as much as we did.” (sic)
Louise concluded: “We’ll miss you so much, sleep tight our gorgeous Bluebells.
“Love you forever Mummy, Chaz and Beau Beau’s Xxx.” (sic)
And earlier this month Louise welcomed Banksy Blu in view of her 145,100 Twitter followers.
“We were so devastated losing our girl Blubelle a few weeks ago,” she wrote.
“And we really noticed a change in Rudi’s behaviour, so we decided a little brother might be what he needs…
“Say hello to Banksy Blu… he’s definitely settled in.”
