The Killers‘ Pressure Machine debuted atop Billboard‘s Top Rock Albums chart, earning the band their second No. 1 in less than a year.
The set, which launched at No. 1 on the chart dated August 28, follows the top spot opening of Imploding the Mirage on the September 5, 2020, tally.
Pressure Machine, which dropped on August 13, earned 26,000 equivalent album units in its first week, according to MRC Data.
The band joins iconic Paul McCartney to become the second act to top the chart two times in less than a year. McCartney’s McCartney III topped the January 2 chart and McCartney III Reimagined led the August 7 list.
Overall, Pressure Machine is the band’s fourth No. 1 on the tally. Previously, the band have topped the chart with Wonderful Wonderful in October 2017 and Battle Born in October 2012.
Meanwhile, on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, Pressure Machine opens at No. 9, marking The Killers’ seventh top 10.
