The 65-year-old Oscar-winning actor is furious after his wife of 34 years screams because she got tripped by a fan behind her during an outing in New York City.
AceShowbiz –Tom Hanks doesn’t appreciate it when fans didn’t know their boundaries. The “Elvis” actor shouted at some fans in New York City after they bumped into his wife Rita Wilson until she nearly fell to the ground.
The incident took place on Wednesday night, June 15. In a video that has been circulating on social media, the couple was seen heading toward their car when a group of people followed them. However, at one point, the “Kimi” actress screamed because she got tripped by a fan behind her.
Hanks was furious. Pausing his step, the Oscar winner yelled, “Guys, this is my wife. Back the f**k off!” While his wife of 34 years was making her way to the SUV, Hanks still released his anger as he asked, “Knocking over my wife?!”
The incident arrived more than a month after Hanks and Wilson celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary. To mark the special milestone, the “Halfway to Home” artist took to social media to share a throwback photo from their nuptials.
In the snap, which was posted on Wilson’s Instagram account on April 30, the pair could be seen smiling ear-to-ear as they walked hand-in-hand. “34th. 1988-2022,” the singer/actress captioned the image.
The post has since been flooded with positive feedback from Rita’s famous pals. One in particular was Julianne Moore who gushed, “Happy anniversary love u.” Kate Hudson echoed the sentiment, “Happy Anniversary!!!! [two red-heart emojis]”. Meanwhile, Tracee Ellis Ross exclaimed, “incredible! Happy happy.”
Rita and Tom first met in 1981 after she appeared in a guest role as Cindy on “Bosom Buddies”. The pair share two sons, 31-year-old Chet Hanks and 26-year-old Truman Hanks. The “Inferno” actor was previously married to Samantha Lewes from 1978-1987. The former couple shares 44-year-old son Colin Hanks and 40-year-old daughter, Elizabeth Hanks.
