Warner Bros. has acquired the global rights to Western Stars, the upcoming music documentary co-directed by Bruce Springsteen.
Western Stars is the film adaptation of the singer-songwriter’s latest album of the same name.
The documentary, which was co-directed by Thom Zimny, marks Springsteen’s directorial debut and features The Boss performing all 13 songs on Western Stars.
“With Western Stars, Bruce is pivoting yet again, taking us with him on an emotional and introspective cinematic journey, looking back and looking ahead,” Warner Bros. picture group chairman Toby Emmerich said in a statement.
He added, “As one of his many fans for over 40 years, I couldn’t be happier to be a rider on this train with Bruce and Thom.”
