Zoe Ball says ex Fatboy Slim made her ‘so ill’ with disastrous meal

Zoe Ball apologises for making co-star cry

Zoe Ball has opened up about being “so ill” after her ex Fatboy Slim made her a disastrous meal when they were together.

The 52-year-old was cooked some razor clams by Fatboy Slim, whose real name is Normal Quentin Cook, that didn’t agree with her.

Speaking about the incident on the Table Manners with Jessie and Lennie Ware podcast, the BBC radio presenter divulged: “I eat anything but razor clams and that was after Norm, back in the day, he one day went, ‘I’m going to make you razor clams’.

The television personality admitted that her ex-husband was cooking for their parents who were coming over and he decided to make a fish pie.

After that, Fatboy, 60, grew to love making seafood and decided to experiment with cooking razor clams for the first time.

She continued: “I’m sure they’re delicious if cooked right, but I was looking at them and thinking, ‘This is not going to go well for me’ and I said, ‘Norm, do you mind if I don’t eat the razor clams, if I eat the rest of them’.

“He looked so crestfallen that I ate them. I was so ill.”

Podcast host Jessie asked: “Are you allergic to them or did Norman do a really bad job at cooking them?”

To which Zoe responded with saying she believes something was wrong with the clams and it was better for Fatboy to stick to the fish pie.

The former couple began dating while Zoe was working for BBC Radio 1.

They tied the knot at Babington House in Somerset back in August 1999, but split for a while back in 2003.

They later reconciled and went on to have children Woody, 22, and Nelly, 13.

However, the pair called it quits for good when they announced their separation in 2016 and later divorced.

Zoe is currently hosting brand new series Mamma Mia! I Have A Dream, with the first episode being broadcast on ITV on Sunday.

You can catch Zoe on episode two this Sunday at 6:15pm on ITV1.
