In 2015, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton took everyone off-guard when they announced they were dating. Ever since then, however, the two have continued to prove their naysayers wrong as their relationship appears to only get better with time.
Most recently, Shelton proved that yet again as he posted an ultra-sweet tribute to the “Sweet Escape” singer on Instagram for her birthday. “Happy Birthday to my favorite all time person ever born in any time period in the history of mankind!!!!!” Shelton wrote in the caption alongside a black-and-white blurred picture of them smiling at each other. “I love you @gwenstefani!!!!!!!!!!” Safe to say that if we’re measuring love through exclamation marks, the “God’s Country” singer is definitely winning the “Best Husband” award!
Stefani, who is celebrating her 54th birthday today, then reposted the sweet tribute on her Instagram stories. “i love u @blakeshelton,” the singer wrote on top.
In the comment section to Shelton’s post, fans and friends of the couple can’t get enough of the sweet post. “cuuuute,” fellow singer Camila Cabello wrote in the comments. “This is @nbcthevoice’s biggest achievement,” wrote another fan, alongside hundreds of “Happy Birthday” messages.

Last month, Stefani opened up about their unexpected connection in an interview with People. “I didn’t see any of this coming with Blake,” she admitted. “This was just a big old ‘What?’”
Looking back, Stefani said Shelton “changed my life.” “When I met Blake, that’s when I felt home, like, ‘Oh, this is where I’m supposed to be, with this guy,” she continued. “It was true and so automatic and such an amazing gift to be able to experience love like that for the first time it was like ‘Ugh this is it!’” How cute!

Together, Stefani and Shelton, who have been married since 2021, live with her kids Kingston, 17, Zuma, 15, and Apollo, 9, in Oklahoma (Stefani shares her kids with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale). “I am not really a dirt person, a bug person, I don’t like that much humidity,” Stefani said of her preferences before leaving Los Angeles. “But it’s so beautiful [in Oklahoma], and you kind of feel like you’re going into this vortex. Nature — and God — is all right there.”
